Adviser: part-time role
Applications are invited for an enthusiastic, organised person with great communication skills to work part-time (10 hours per week) for a specified period with Tania Maxwell MP, Member for Northern Victoria.
- liaising with organisations, groups and individuals on behalf of the Member;
- organising tours, functions, briefings, meetings and engagement activities;
- researching and communicating issues of interest to the electorate and Member, including policy issues, meeting briefs and supporting materials;
- collating information about community views and attitudes to the Member.
Excellent written, interpersonal and communication skills are required, a friendly disposition, and a general understanding of the state, federal and local political landscapes.
An appreciation and understanding of the core platforms of Derryn Hinch’s Justice Party and the advocacy of Tania Maxwell as a Member of Parliament is advantageous, as well as an enthusiasm for community engagement.
