My question is to the Minister for Health.

Minister: the sudden announcement on 6 July of the COVID-related closure of the Victoria-New South Wales border has created chaos ever since, particularly in my electorate of Northern Victoria.

Especially bearing in mind that our part of the State has had either no (or low) case numbers of coronavirus both then and since, what specific representations have you made and what input have you had into this decision, specifically from a health perspective, both before and after it was made?

I ask that, particularly given the very wide series of adverse health-related ramifications and consequences from the decision.  Among these, obviously, are the widespread mental health impacts (including on those whose daily lives have been completely upended and those whose businesses have been devastated as a result of the decision).
