I am pleased to advise that the Victorian Farmers Federation (VFF) has opened the Farm Machinery Improvement Grants Program to assist farm businesses in the Millewa region of far North-West Victoria.
Grants up to $10,000 are available per eligible dryland farm business to maintain essential on-farm machinery and equipment to meet key operational requirements and prepare for the 2020 growing season.
This program is being funded through the Victorian Government’s Drought Support Package, and is available to farm owners, operators, share farmers or leaseholders.
For more information about the program and to apply for support, visit the VFF website on vff.org.au or call 136 186.
Quotes attributable to Tania Maxwell MP:
“I strongly encourage those eligible to apply for the grants. It will support and assist drought effected farmers and enable them to maintain machinery and equipment and make preparations for future seasons.”
“The impact of drought is crippling our farmers, and these grants go towards recognising the difficulties they are facing, and giving them the assistance they need going into the 2020 season.”
